The other day I posted the Garlic Buttered Beans which is one of the two favorite ways I fix beans for my children. They fight over every spoonful when those or these Bacon Grease Beans are placed on the table.
1 quart fresh or frozen green beans
4 slices bacon
1. Lightly steam the beans until just crisp tender. For fresh beans this will take about 10 minutes, for frozen, about 5 minutes.
2. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crisp. Set bacon aside and break into pieces.
3. When beans are done drain well.
4. Heat the bacon grease at medium/high, add all the beans at once and fry for about 2-3 minutes. Pour the beans into a bowl with the grease over top. Add bacon pieces and toss lightly. Yummy!
