Green Beans are one of our favorite cooked phase 3 veggies. This is one of two ways my family begs to have their beans fixed. They will eat 2 full quarts and fight over every spoonful!
1 quart fresh or frozen green beans
1/2 cup butter
4-6 fresh garlic cloves minced
REAL Redmond Salt to taste
1. Very lightly steam the beans until they are just crisp tender which usually only takes about 5-10 minutes. 10 min if they are fresh, 5 if they are frozen.
2. Drain beans and put in a bowl.
3. In a skillet melt the butter over medium/high heat. Add the garlic then immediately poor in the beans and saute the beans for about 1-2 minutes with the garlic. Salt & serve!
Optional addition:
When the butter is melted add 1/4 cup sliced or slivered almonds and brown for about 1 minute, then add the garlic & beans.
